Employee Number Two!
Passion, vision, determination, and innovation. All of the reasons that I joined Keynote Group. That’s right! You are looking at Keynote’s second hire! I’m Lindsay and I am beyond excited to start this new adventure. But my story will be a little different. Keynote is coming to Halifax!
I have spent the last 10 years living in Ottawa, but grew up on the East Coast. With two young boys, we wanted to be closer to family, truth be told, I always envisioned raising my children out here! I had many conversations with the partners, went through the the same processes as Meghan, and could see the passion in their eyes. Each of the partners had a fire lit under them and I could see that their vision for Keynote was going to go far. And me? I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be able to share in the successes. I wanted to be a part of the ups and downs that come with a new business. I have been in the recruitment industry for 10 years, and I knew that there was something more for me. I am grateful to be a part of this family. Knowing that I can pick up the phone and talk to James whether it’s 6am, or 11pm, we are all in this together. From day 1 when our conversations started, we talked about goals, what we would like to achieve and how we’re going to get there. They shared with me their plans and visions for the company. Hearing them talk about it with such conviction ensured me that this is where I am suppose to be.
When I told James of our move to Nova Scotia, he embraced it and without hesitation, said ‘That’s great! Looks like Keynote’s going to Halifax!’ Always on their toes. Always ready for change and ready to take on new adventures and challenges. We may be small in numbers, but we are mighty, and I know that the 5 of us will make a great team.
I may be on the East Coast, but one thing is for sure, I don’t feel like I am alone. We are connected, sharing our successes and our updates. We are in this together, and that coupled with our passion for this industry and our vision, Keynote is a force to reckon with.
I may have taken a risk by leaving my secured base salary, but without a doubt, I have made the right decision. I picked up a new car yesterday and the first thing that I did when I got it home was add the KG decal so I could #rocktheKG.
Nova Scotia is my home , my roots and my heart, and I couldn’t be more proud represent Keynote here.
